Welcome to the July 2021 edition of the DAIR Community Newsletter. We have exciting news to share with you!
Upcoming Virtual DAIR Town Hall on July 13th
Our next DAIR webinar is fast approaching.
We are opening the floor to you at our first ever DAIR Cloud Program Town Hall. We’re hoping for an interactive session, so please bring your questions and feedback on DAIR. Our Cloud Architect, Don McCullough, will be in attendance as well and ready to field any technical questions.
DAIR Slack Workspace
Our new DAIR Slack Workspace is live, and we are excited for you to experience it!
This new Workspace will go beyond what our single DAIR channel currently does, by becoming a forum to:
We’re hoping that you will find this Workspace useful to you and the development of your business.
All those currently on the DAIR Cloud will be migrated over to the new Slack Workspace, so be sure to watch your emails for your invitation to join.
DAIR Cloud Upgrade
We are working hard on a huge DAIR Cloud upgrade!
The upgrade will enable us to offer enhanced public cloud services and provide you better visibility into your monthly cloud budget, all continuing with our “no cost – no risk” model. With the new features, we can start rolling out access to advanced services offered by public cloud as selected by the DAIR user community! We know many of you have been looking to develop and experiment with these services, and we’re happy we’ll be able to offer them soon.
Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the release later the summer. We will keep you posted in future newsletters and in our DAIR Slack Workspace.
DAIR Community Spotlight: BDATA
BDATA is an innovative, data driven organization that specializes in blockchain data security. Based out of Hamilton, Ontario, BDATA have been part of the DAIR community since April 2020.
We are excited for BDATA, a DAIR Program participant, and the announcement of their new strategic alliance with a world leading IoT device manufacturer, who will use their blockchain-driven secure data streaming technology. This is a big step for BDATA, and we wish them success with this new alliance.
We plan for this to be a recurring section of our DAIR Newsletter to share your success stories to the rest of the DAIR community. If you have a story to share, please contact DAIR’s Program Manager, Cynthia Emerson so that we can promote it here.
New DAIR Case Study: AIHEARU
The newest DAIR case study is now available! AIHEARU is a speech-to-text system that uses artificial intelligence to learn unique speech patterns of individuals with speaking challenges from cerebral palsy, strokes, or other causes. Its open API then integrates with many voice-based communication platforms such as Zoom, or voice assisted services like Siri, Alexa, and Okay, Google, to enable ease of access. We hope to watch AIHEARU continue to do amazing things.
