Who we are

We’re a small team of dedicated thinkers, innovators, and problem-solvers. Our team is positive, passionate, and collaborative.

We are athletes and book lovers, artists and carpenters, pastry chefs and veterans. Most important, we share a passion for learning, science, and technology. Our personalities, experiences, and interests are beautifully diverse and our unique perspectives help shape everything we do.

What we do

We collaborate with Canada’s research and education community, private sector, and government partners to ensure that Canada’s bright researchers and entrepreneurs benefit from the technologies and tools that are critical to their success. With our partners across the country, we work to ensure that Canada leads in research and innovation.

Why we do it

Because our collective future depends on it. The benefits of new transformative technologies developed by entrepreneurs and life-changing discoveries by researchers have the power to improve our lives and the life of our planet. Our motivation is to give Canada’s entrepreneurs and researchers the infrastructure they need to get to discovery and innovation faster.

How We Work

We’re a small, collaborative team dedicated to advancing Canadian research and innovation while enjoying each other’s company.

We’re innovative, friendly, and helpful, and we believe that when you work with your friends on shared goals, there’s no challenge that can’t be met. We support and collaborate with Canada’s most innovative researchers and entrepreneurs, so that means we also get to work with the latest technologies.

Our office is in the heart of downtown Ottawa, so it’s easy for our staff to enjoy the best of the Nation’s Capital. We are steps away from Parliament Hill, the Sparks Street walking promenade, the Byward Market and the Rideau Canal. Many of us commute by bike, foot, and public transit…some of us even skate to work.

Regardless of where we’re working – in the office or from home – we’re always finding ways to stay connected! Our staff can often be found chatting over coffee, exploring the neighbourhood for new places to eat, or swapping stories and recipes in the kitchen. Every other week, we catch up with each other virtually during our “Friday Afternoon Social” calls. Whether we’re competing against each other on a new game, chatting about all kinds of topics, or seeing each other’s kids and pets grow, we look forward to reconnecting and ending the week on a happy note.

At CANARIE, the core values of our team are everything.
They shape the way we work and how we interact with each other every single day.
