Senior Director, Finance and Operations
- Provide leadership to staff, including ongoing coaching and staff development
- Develop and maintain productive and positive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve corporate objectives
- Translate strategic corporate goals into team operational objectives and provide leadership for their successful implementation
- Ensure that CANARIE’s finances are managed according to legislation, policies, funding agreements, and Canadian GAAP
- Lead the evolution of CANARIE’s ERP and other operational tools
- Develop financial strategies and facilitate the on-going evolution of CANARIE’s finance and corporate policies
- Direct the evolution of CANARIE’s procurement policy and processes
- Lead the development and implementation of organization-wide standards for operational management, including financial, procurement, contract management, and program operations
- Direct the operational and financial aspects of CANARIE’s programs
- Travel may occasionally be required
- Other related duties and responsibilities, as required

What You Bring
Education and Experience
- CPA designation in good standing
- College diploma or university degree in business or a suitable combination of education, experience, or other relevant training
- Minimum of 10 years of related and progressive work experience in senior finance and operational leadership roles
- Experience leading corporate procurement systems is desirable

- Working experience in ERP applications and related reporting tools
- Working experience with procurement solutions is desirable
- Working experience with contract management solutions is desirable
